How it Works
How can YOU make Akron better in 2015? Create a 0:60 second or less video telling us your resolution for improving the city. BE CREATIVE! You can create a video on your own or with help. Be sure to secure permission before creating or posting your video.
On Your Own:
1. Use your smartphone or other mobile device to create a 0:60 second or less video.
2. Upload your video to YouTube.
3. Include #BetterAkron2015 in the title or description of your video so it can be shown at First Night Akron.
With Help:
1. Attend one of the following Mobile Media Training Center classes with the Akron Digital Media Center:
Dec. 1, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Maple Valley Branch Library
Dec. 2, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Highland Square Branch Library
Dec. 4, 5-6 p.m., Main LIbrary
Dec. 6, 12-1 p.m., Main Library
Dec. 6, 2-3 p.m. Ellet Branch Library
Dec. 8, 6:30-7:30 p.m., North Hill Branch Library
Dec. 11, 6:30-7:30 p.m., North Hill Branch Library
2. Attend a Mobile Media Training class during First Night Akron from 6-9 p.m. in the John S. Knight Center.
Complete and upload your family-friendly video by December 29 for it to be displayed at First Night Akron.
Win a Prize*
Two lucky participants will each recieve $100 to a Downtown business of their choice.
40 student participants will be randomly selected to each recieve 2 admission buttons for First Night Akron.
