The historical record

The original document library.

Recovered programs, schedules, maps and volunteer records. These documents belong to earlier editions.

Historical library. Old prices, venues, deadlines, telephone numbers and ticket outlets are not current 2027 arrangements. Some PDFs are scanned and may need a visual reader.

24 original PDF paths have been recovered and checked for complete file structure and readable pages. A surviving part of a program is labelled as a part; it is not presented as a complete festival-year collection.

Surviving pages from the online event guides

Two external digital editions preserve their opening pages. Their remaining pages have not been recovered; these links are not complete PDF guides.

School art in the institutional record

Two complete Akron Public Schools fine-arts reports survive in Arquivo.pt. They preserve details of local participation beyond the festival website. Page numbers below refer to the PDF page sequence.

  • Fine Arts Report 2008–2009 · 21 pages: PDF page 14 lists Firestone’s Steve Csejtey and a sculptural installation for First Night Akron ’09. The same page records a 2010 First Night button-art commission for Miller South’s Julie Hogarth. PDF page 10 records 83 Miller South students in a First Night black-light installation with Mark Soppeland at Summit ArtSpace.
  • Fine Arts Report 2009–2010 · 20 pages: PDF page 8 records Resnik visual-art participation in First Night Akron’s “Creatures of the Midnight Sun,” involving 13 students. PDF page 10 lists 99 Miller South students in a First Night Midnight Sun Black Light Exhibit. These are school-project participant counts.
