Orbit in Akron’s baseball history
The original First Night event guide for December 31, 2005 names Akron Aeros’s Orbit. This earlier primary record connects the festival name with Akron’s baseball mascot.
An official Akron RubberDucks announcement dated April 7, 2014 describes Orbit as a space cat and one of the team’s mascots, alongside Homer and the newly introduced Webster.
These sources provide dated background. They do not recover the missing description of Orbit’s First Night 2013 appearance or establish an appearance at the returning festival.
