Volunteers Needed for First Night Akron 2010

First Night® Akron needs volunteers to lend a helping hand on December 31, 2009. We need you to help us ring in the New Year and share the arts with the community. First Night volunteers greet guests, check for admission buttons, introduce performing artists, assist with hands-on activities, act as bus hosts and much more.

Volunteers are admitted free to all performances and sites before or after their scheduled shift. Friends, families and couples are encouraged to volunteer together. Volunteers receive a special volunteer ribbon to wear at the event, as well as an invitation to the annual Volunteer Party held in January.

Volunteers are essential to First Night's success. They are the first to greet guests, wish them a Happy New Year and help direct them to their next destination. To become a volunteer, call the First Night volunteer coordinator, Jane Startzman at 330-535-3179 or email jstartzman@akroncivic.com. Volunteers are being placed, so please contact us today!
