First Night® Idol is Back for Third Year
Local high schools are invited to get involved in the competition.
(Akron, OH)- Local high school students will once again compete on New Year’s Eve for the title “First Night® Idol.” The popular singing competition is back for First Night® Akron’s 10th anniversary celebration.
The competition will be held at the John S. Knight Center from 5:30 –7 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. The winner will help the crowd count down to midnight at the finale fireworks show on the Main Stage. Preliminary auditions for the competition will take place at local high schools throughout the fall.

First Night® Idol is being presented by InfoCision Management Corporation. First Night® Akron is a program of the Downtown Akron Partnership. Founding partners of the program are the City of Akron and the Akron Beacon Journal.
