Cold temperatures don't deter New Year's Eve revelers
Despite temperatures that dipped to -2 degrees with the wind chill, the 19th annual First Night Akron brought between 14,000-15,000 revelers to Downtown Akron to enjoy New Year's Eve in a safe, clean and family-friendly environment.  more >  


Volunteer opportunities remain for First Night Akron 2015
It's not too late to volunteer for First Night Akron this New Year's Eve. Approximately 50 openings remain for bus tour guides, emcees, helpers at activity stations and tracking attendance at venues on Dec. 31 in Downtown Akron. more >  


#BetterAkron2015 Digital Media Challenge
Downtown Akron Partnership and First Night Akron hope to raise the level of community engagement with the help of technology many of us keep in our pocket. The #BetterAkron2015 challenge asks individuals and families throughout greater Akron to create a 60 second or less video on their smart phone or other mobile device that captures their hopes and dreams for Akron in the new year.  more >
